We have a special tour which is run exclusively for tourists visiting or staying in Newcastle

At Premium Bus Services, we run this tour as follows:

  • On days where we have Cruise Ships berthed in the port of Newcastle, the tour is designed as a 'Hop on, Hop off' tour which runs continuously throughout the day, at 15 minute intervals.
  • On all other days, we run each tour for a duration of 2 hours, for guests on a pre-booked basis. We pick up and return guests to hotels within the Newcastle CBD. The tours are available daily between 10.30am and 4.30pm, and pricing is available for individuals, couples, and groups.

King Edward Park

Newcastle is encircled by a spectacular coastline offering pristine beaches, cranking surf, family friendly waters, shady picnic grounds, and two stunningly unique salt water ocean baths.

The Newcastle Ocean Baths offer a rugged pool structure with a stunning Art Deco facade. King Edward Park has spectacular ocean views, Norfolk Island pines, and a sunken garden usually ablaze with colour.

Sheppards Hill Lookout is a sunny, grassed area with commanding views overlooking Newcastle Beach and the sweeping sand dunes to Port Stephens.

The picturesque strip of beaches close to the city centre, include the Merewether Ocean Baths, the largest salt water pool complex in the Southern Hemisphere.

Merewether Beach

Mereweather beach

Merewether Beach is one of Australia’s most famous surfing locations. It is the venue of the international Surfest competition and the location of the largest ocean baths in the Southern Hemisphere.
